Alex is one of our back-end developers responsible for managing the code that powers Whoosh. He is a driving force known by the team for his analytical mind and keen eye for finding and fixing technical problems.

Alex’s career path has taken him from large multi-national conglomerates (such as Amazon) to both early and mid stage startups. He is well-known in the Elixir programming community. He frequently presents at developer conferences and has written books on the programming language (with the next one in development).

Outside of the office, Alex enjoys spending time with his family, mountain biking and racing cars.
